Syrian Observatory Confirms Attack on Al-Tanf Area

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, citing informed sources, announced on Friday that an attack was carried out against the Al-Tanf area in Homs province. The report indicated that the U.S.-led coalition maintains a military presence within the 55-kilometer zone around Al-Tanf, despite announcing a troop redeployment last November.
Earlier, the Public Relations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in Statement No. 19 of Operation Nasr 2, announced a surprise attack on the enemy’s special operations command center in Syria’s Al-Tanf region, described as retribution for fallen Iranian soldiers. However, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has, as is customary, denied that its positions were targeted.
