Lebanese Army Chief Links Hezbollah Disarmament to Israeli Withdrawal

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese Army Commander Joseph Aoun, during a visit to the United States, emphasized that Lebanon will not achieve security until it possesses unified sovereignty and a singular army. Aoun stated that if there is a genuine commitment to ending occupation and empowering the Lebanese army to assume full control, then progress can be made toward the disarmament of Hezbollah. Earlier, Aoun had underscored the necessity of a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from all Lebanese territories in a conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.
