US Navy Osprey Aircraft Catches Fire During Landing in Arizona

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a U.S. Navy MV-22B Osprey aircraft caught fire during landing at an airfield in Mesa, Arizona. The tiltrotor aircraft was deployed to participate in a joint military exercise.

U.S. Navy officials stated that the aircraft, belonging to the Navy’s Tiltrotor Squadron based at New River in North Carolina, experienced a fire in its right engine compartment. Major Joe Leitner, Director of Communications and Operations, confirmed that the Osprey caught fire while supporting Exercise Savage Jackal, a training exercise commanded by the Air Force stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.
