Netanyahu and Kushner Discuss Gaza Ceasefire and Reconstruction Amidst Strategic Disagreements

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, following data published by the Mehr News Agency and cited by Al-Ghad, a lengthy meeting took place between Benjamin Netanyahu and Jared Kushner concerning the Gaza Strip, with Washington urging against obstruction of a ceasefire.
Channel 12 of the Israeli regime, quoting a political source, reported the conclusion of a protracted meeting between Benjamin Netanyahu, Jared Kushner, and a high-ranking representative of the “Peace Council” concerning developments in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, an agreement was reached during this meeting stipulating that no extensive reconstruction operations would take place in the Gaza Strip prior to what the Israeli side refers to as the “complete disarmament of Hamas.”
The political source added that Netanyahu and Kushner agreed that the initial step in their proposed disarmament process in Gaza would be the surrender of weapons by the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas.
Channel 12 also stated that both parties agreed to preserve the freedom of action for the Israeli regime’s army in the Gaza Strip and to continue the policy of assassinations. This agreement, if implemented, would signify the continued possibility of military operations and targeted killings by the Israeli regime, even within the framework of a ceasefire process.
Another aspect of these agreements emphasized the implementation of certain health measures in the Gaza Strip to prevent the spread of diseases, including cholera and other epidemics.
CNN, citing an informed Israeli source, reported that Kushner requested Netanyahu during the meeting not to impede the implementation of a ceasefire plan in Gaza.
This source added that Netanyahu responded to Kushner by stating that advancing the ceasefire plan in Gaza faces difficulties due to the approaching elections in the Israeli regime.
Channel 12 further reported that Netanyahu included the head of Shin Bet and the head of the Israeli military’s intelligence branch in a portion of his meeting with Kushner.
The meeting occurred at a time when increasing signs of disagreement between Washington and Netanyahu have become apparent in recent days regarding the method of implementing the next phase of the Gaza agreement, with American officials expressing dissatisfaction over the Israeli regime’s delays and obstructionism in the agreement’s execution.
