Iran Warns of Aggressive Policy if US Prolongs Sanctions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, …
A senior Iranian official has warned that Tehran will pursue a “fully aggressive policy” if progress in negotiations with the United States falters. The official indicated that Tehran has set a deadline of several weeks for the implementation of a memorandum of understanding, adding, “We will not wait for the United States to continue prolonging the blockade.”
This statement follows remarks by Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, Deputy Political Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). In a special news interview, Javani announced that the directives for Major General Hossein Vahidi emphasize not only maximum deterrence but also a new approach. “From now on, whatever action we take, even if it has a defensive nature, this defensive stance must take an offensive form,” he stated. He further clarified that while the enemy initiates conflict, Iran’s actions are defensive in nature, though they may assume an offensive character. This, he noted, represents one of the transformative approaches of the armed forces.
