CNN Mocks Trump’s Strait of Hormuz Claims With California Map

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CNN reported that Iranian diplomats in India responded to remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump concerning ownership of the Strait of Hormuz by releasing a map of the United States where California was marked with the phrase: ‘New territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.’
The media outlet, critical of Trump, added that although the post published by the Consulate General of Iran in Hyderabad carried a humorous and sarcastic tone, according to the Migration Policy Institute, California is home to the largest population of Iranian immigrants in the United States.
CNN wrote that most of these Iranians reside in the Los Angeles area, and many Iranians living in this region refer to the city as ‘Tehrangeles,’ a portmanteau of Tehran and Los Angeles.
Many experts have assessed Trump’s actions to alter the current world geography as stemming from his psychological illness and narcissism. He has previously made various claims about the ownership of Canada, Greenland, Venezuela, and other regions of the world.
