France Expels Two Iranian Embassy Staffers

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, France has announced its decision to expel two Iranian embassy employees. Jean-Noël Barrot, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated on the social media platform ‘X’ on Wednesday that he had previously warned that unacceptable actions from Tehran would have consequences, and that this expulsion is the direct result. The two Iranian diplomats will be expelled from France in the very near future.
The French Foreign Minister had indicated his intention to expel two Iranian diplomats the previous night, in a message signaling support for the protests that occurred in Iran last December. In response to this interventionist action by France, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared two French diplomats at the French Embassy in Tehran as undesirable elements, prohibiting their entry into Iran.
Just days prior, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, had responded to French interference in Iran’s internal affairs by addressing Jean-Noël Barrot. Araghchi stated that countries like France should cease lecturing the world on ‘human rights’ and international law.
