White House Claims Iranian Oil Exports Halted, Cites Naval Successes in Strait of Hormuz

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the White House has claimed that Iran has been unable to export any oil shipments since sanctions were imposed on its coastlines last month. This assertion was made based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera.

The White House, referencing a statement from CENTCOM, alleged that 1,500 ships carrying 750 million barrels of oil have passed through the Strait of Hormuz with U.S. support, and that mines laid in this waterway have been cleared. This narrative contrasts with acknowledgments from many U.S. political and military officials who suggest that President Trump has faced significant setbacks in his confrontation with Iran, remaining mired in a costly conflict.

Despite these challenges, White House advisor Stephen Miller proclaimed President Trump’s actions regarding Iran as the greatest military achievement in the history of modern warfare. He further claimed that Iran’s naval and air forces, along with its radar and military infrastructure, have been destroyed, asserting that the Strait of Hormuz is open to the United States but closed to Iran.

However, data released by Kepler just two days prior indicated that vessel movement in the Strait of Hormuz remains weak, contradicting the White House’s claims of unimpeded passage and Iranian naval incapacitation.
