Russia Downs 804 Ukrainian Drones in 24 Hours Amid Escalating Energy Strikes

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s air defense systems successfully repelled Ukrainian aerial attacks over the last 24 hours, intercepting a significant number of drones, guided bombs, and rockets. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense units downed 804 drones, 14 guided bombs, and five HIMARS missiles. This action comes as Russia announced it has launched extensive strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, a move framed as a response to Kyiv’s attacks on Russian fuel and energy facilities.
Furthermore, the Russian armed forces have reportedly liberated two settlements in the Sumy Oblast: Velyki Byrky and Sadky. The Ministry of Defense asserted that the Russian army is advancing on all fronts. Ukrainian targets that were reportedly struck include launch platforms for ‘Flamingo’ missiles, a fuel and energy facility, a munition production plant, and military logistics centers.
