U.S. Central Command Details ‘Limited and Precise’ Action Against Iran-Linked Forces

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Central Command announced that its forces carried out a “limited and precise” action against elements affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The command claimed these forces were engaged in “mining operations,” which it deemed a direct threat to regional security.

U.S. officials identified Iran as the primary source of the alleged threat, asserting that the American military intervened to “protect civilian mariners and ensure the continued movement of commercial vessels.”

Centcom also strongly criticized the reactions from IRGC forces, who described the U.S. operation to prevent mining as an “aggression and hostile act.” The command dismissed these claims as “entirely baseless and factually inaccurate.”

The U.S. military concluded by stating that the objective of these strikes was to “protect global navigation and trade” along one of the world’s most vital sea lanes.
