Israeli War Minister Katz: No Withdrawal from Southern Lebanon Until Hezbollah Disarmed

Israeli War Minister Yisrael Katz has asserted that Tel Aviv will not withdraw from the security zone in southern Lebanon until Hezbollah relinquishes its weapons, stating that control of strategic heights is crucial for ongoing operations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via the Mehr News Agency, Israeli War Minister Yisrael Katz claimed that his regime will not retreat from the security zone in southern Lebanon as long as Hezbollah does not hand over its weapons. Katz further commented on the purported assertion by the occupying army of control over the strategic heights of Ali al-Tahir in southern Lebanon, stating that the occupation of these heights represents the final stage of consolidating dominance over the security area in southern Lebanon. He characterized Ali al-Tahir as the command center for attacks against Israeli forces and the Galilee region.

The Israeli minister added that the occupying army has commenced the neutralization of tunnels in the Ali al-Tahir heights. He emphasized full preparedness to exert complete control over the Ali al-Tahir heights and counter any redeployment by Hezbollah. The Israeli War Minister further contended that taking control of the Ali al-Tahir area is a significant step towards achieving the stated objective.
