U.S. Embassy in Bahrain Urges Citizens in West Asia to Exercise Extreme Caution Amid Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Embassy in Bahrain released a statement today urging its citizens currently in West Asia to exercise extreme caution and heightened awareness. The embassy cited ongoing tensions in the Middle East, describing the security situation as complex and subject to unexpected escalation.

The statement from the U.S. Embassy in Bahrain alleged that Iran has previously targeted civilian infrastructure in Bahrain, including hotels in Manama. American citizens in the Middle East are advised to increase their vigilance regarding potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions. Those traveling to or from the region are encouraged to monitor information related to airport operations and airline activities.

The embassy further warned that U.S. diplomatic facilities, including those outside West Asia, have been subject to attack. It stated that Iran and its affiliated groups might target other U.S. interests abroad, as well as locations associated with the U.S. and Americans globally, including American businesses and other institutions.

This advisory from the U.S. Embassy in Bahrain comes as the Islamic Republic of Iran has previously emphasized that it will firmly and powerfully target U.S. military bases in countries that serve as origins for aggression against Tehran, acting in accordance with the principle of legitimate defense.
