Canada and 11 European Nations Impose Sanctions on Israeli Settlements

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Canada and eleven European nations, namely the United Kingdom, France, and Poland, declared on Tuesday in a verbal statement that Israel‘s actions in the West Bank are undermining the feasibility of a two-state solution. The statement issued by Canada and the eleven European countries emphasized that the situation is rapidly deteriorating, marked by unprecedented levels of settler violence and the expansion of settlements. They expressed a firm commitment to limiting trade in goods with settlements considered illegal under international law.
Canada and the eleven European nations further added in their statement that Israel must immediately halt the expansion of settlements and ensure accountability for settler violence. They reiterated their commitment to preserving the two-state solution and pledged to take necessary actions to achieve a just and lasting peace. The coalition firmly opposes any actions that constitute the annexation of Palestinian territories or the forced displacement of populations.
