Russia Criticizes IAEA Report on Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant as Politically Biased

Moscow has labeled the International Atomic Energy Agency’s report on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as politically biased, asserting that it fails to accurately reflect the situation and ignores Kyiv’s alleged responsibilities.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova issued a statement on Tuesday, describing the report by IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi concerning the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as politically biased.

Zakharova elaborated that the report by Grossi does not accurately reflect the real situation surrounding the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson further stated that the IAEA Director-General continues to avoid directly acknowledging the responsibility of the Kyiv regime for the reckless attacks on the Zaporizhzhia plant and the killing of its staff.

This comes as Rafael Grossi, in his recent report, did not mention the repeated violations of nuclear power plant regulations by Ukraine, a point that has drawn protests from Moscow.
