Oil Prices Surge Towards $100 Following Iran’s Decisive Response to U.S. Aggression

Global oil prices have experienced a significant surge, with Brent crude futures nearing $100 per barrel following a forceful retaliatory action by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) against U.S. naval vessels in the Persian Gulf.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, oil prices saw a $1 increase in early trading, with Brent crude futures settling at $99.49 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude also surpassed $94 per barrel.

This price hike occurred after the IRGC delivered a decisive response to what it described as aggressive actions by the “terrorist army” of the United States in the Persian Gulf. The price of Brent crude has now risen 25% since the beginning of August.

Early this morning, the public relations department of the IRGC announced in a statement that the guided-missile destroyers DDG-119 and DDG-53, equipped with cruise missiles and Aegis systems, were targeted.

The statement read:

In the name of God, the Capable, the Avenger.

“Fight them; God will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the eyes of a believing people.”

“The awakened and inspired nation of Islamic Iran; in response to the aggressive actions and malicious harassment by the terrorist army of the Great Satan against Iranian tankers and vessels, the powerful Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in an act of punitive retaliation with the code ‘Ya Heydar Karrar,’ targeted the guided-missile destroyers DDG-119 and DDG-53, which were carrying cruise missiles and Aegis systems, with powerful ballistic missiles. Significant damage was inflicted upon these vessels as a result of this attack.”

The IRGC and other armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirm their strong resolve to respond to the desperate and reckless actions of the U.S. regime and caution the enemy against any miscalculation.
