Egypt’s Foreign Minister Discusses Iran Nuclear Program and Regional Developments with IAEA Chief
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry engaged in a phone conversation with Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The discussions focused on avenues to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and the IAEA, as well as the latest regional developments, with a specific emphasis on Iran’s nuclear program.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Shoukry expressed appreciation for the close cooperation and coordination between Egypt and the IAEA, highlighting that this partnership underscores the depth of their collaboration in the realm of peaceful nuclear energy applications.
He also acknowledged the IAEA’s support for Egypt within the framework of its technical cooperation program.
During the call, both sides exchanged views on current regional developments, with particular attention given to the Iranian nuclear dossier.
The two officials underscored the importance of continuing support for diplomatic pathways and efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions, prioritizing political solutions.
