Malaysian Prime Minister: US-Iran Talks Must Address America’s Initial Aggression

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stressed in an exclusive interview with NDTV on Saturday that any dialogue concerning the current dispute between the United States and Iran must commence by referencing Washington’s unlawful aggression against Tehran. He asserted that the ongoing conflict stems from the initial aggression by the United States, with the involvement of Israel.

The Prime Minister highlighted a reluctance among nations to acknowledge the origins of the US confrontation with Iran. “The recent conflict with Iran stems from the initial aggression by the United States, and of course, initially with the accompaniment of Israel,” Ibrahim told NDTV. “However, many countries are reluctant to state the facts. The reality is that these kinds of ongoing aggressions must be stopped.”

He underscored the necessity of achieving a peaceful resolution. “A peaceful solution is essential. If we can just guarantee the understanding of a peaceful solution, stopping the violence becomes important. But then we must implement justice. Now, how do you solve it? Stop the violence. I mean the violence perpetrated by America or Israel,” the Prime Minister explained.

When asked if he condemns both parties for the regional turmoil, the Malaysian official told NDTV that an immediate cessation of violence is crucial. However, he also stressed the importance of examining the causes and the initial use of force by the American and Zionist aggressors. “This conflict is an unjustified aggression against a country. This is completely clear to me,” he stated.
