These images were provided to the network by U.S. military personnel serving on condition of anonymity, an action they attributed to severe media restrictions within the U.S. military. One U.S. service member told CBS News that substantial damage had been inflicted on the country’s bases, but this information has not been disclosed to the American public. According to the network’s report, one of the images recorded at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia shows a direct hit on a Boeing E-3 Sentry four-engine aircraft, with the rear section of the plane detached from its fuselage due to the attack.
