Pakistan Summons Indian Charge d’Affaires Over Naval Incident

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Indian Charge d’Affaires in Islamabad today, expressing its strong objection to a highly provocative and unacceptable action by an Indian naval vessel in Pakistan’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) on September 15, 2026. The incident occurred while the Pakistan Navy was conducting its biannual SEASPARK-26 exercise.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan detailed that the Indian vessel engaged in aggressive maneuvers at a dangerously close proximity to a Pakistani naval ship, leading to a near collision. Pakistan emphasized that this event constitutes a serious violation of international laws and the 1991 bilateral agreement concerning “pre-emptive notification of exercises and military force movements.” The ministry warned that such actions carry the risk of escalating tensions in the region.

Islamabad conveyed its firm rejection of this hostile Indian act through the Charge d’Affaires. It further urged the Indian side to strictly adhere to international laws and bilateral agreements, particularly those designed to prevent maritime incidents. Pakistan also called on the international community to request India to abandon its confrontational approach and refrain from irresponsible actions that could further destabilize South Asia.
