Ansarallah Yemen Reports 408 Vessels Safely Navigated Bab al-Mandab Strait
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Ministry of Transport for the Sana’a government has announced that 408 commercial vessels passed through the Bab al-Mandab strait between September 11 and September 21. Out of this total, 196 vessels navigated northward through the strait over a 10-day period, while 212 vessels traveled southward.
The statement further indicated that more than 40 commercial ships utilize the Bab al-Mandab strait daily. The number of vessels transiting Bab al-Mandab has risen to 408 since the liberation of the western coastal areas, an increase from the 393 vessels recorded between September 1 and September 10.
The Ministry of Transport in Sana’a emphasized that shipping through the Bab al-Mandab remains smooth and secure for the international commercial fleet, with the exception of Saudi vessels. The ongoing normalcy and safety of maritime traffic in the strait effectively refute claims suggesting a halt in shipping or insecurity in this vital waterway.
