US Senate Rejects Bill to Limit Trump’s War Powers Against Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The United States Senate has rejected a plan to limit the war powers of President Donald Trump in a conflict with Iran. The vote saw 50 senators opposing the measure, with 49 in favor. This vote represents one of the latest attempts to curb President Trump’s authority regarding Iran.

Previously, in August, the US House of Representatives had passed a bill designed to limit President Donald Trump’s authority to initiate war against Iran without congressional approval. That bill was approved with a majority of 214 votes in favor and 208 against. On the same day, the Senate had rejected the House’s resolution that sought to restrict President Donald Trump’s powers concerning the initiation of hostilities against Iran.
