Netanyahu’s UN Speech Declared ‘Graveyard’ of Normalization Plans by Israeli Analyst

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli researcher Ariel Cohen, affiliated with the Eurasia Center of the Atlantic Council, has declared that efforts to normalize relations between the Israeli regime and regional countries have ‘completely ended’ following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s speech at the United Nations.

Cohen stated that Netanyahu failed in his attempt to utilize the UN platform to engage with Arab nations and other countries in the region, as well as to improve relations.

He further commented, ‘It appears that all normalization efforts have now concluded, as Netanyahu adopted a hostile position that encompassed not only regional countries but also nations like the United Kingdom and France, which until recently were considered allies of Israel.’

Coinciding with the commencement of Netanyahu’s speech on Thursday, delegations from dozens of countries departed the hall of the UN General Assembly in New York, a scene repeated for the second consecutive year. Images from the hall showed a significant number of delegations leaving their seats before Netanyahu began his address. This exit was accompanied by slogans and protests, and other visuals depicted large sections of the hall as empty during his speech.

Netanyahu sharply criticized France and Britain for their stances on the violent attack on the Gaza Strip, remarking, ‘It is surprising that some of those who accuse us of colonialism are in the UK and France. I tell them, enough; do not lie, you have colonized the world.’
