Netanyahu’s Alleged Push for UAE Involvement in Yemen Conflict Revealed
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, sources speaking to Al Mayadeen have revealed that the primary objective of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s visit to the United Arab Emirates was to instigate the UAE’s renewed participation in the Saudi-led conflict against Yemen.
During his trip, Netanyahu reportedly expressed hope that the UAE would provide security and intelligence support to Saudi Arabia in this endeavor. These discussions took place during a direct meeting between Netanyahu and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed.
The same sources indicated that Mansour bin Zayed’s subsequent visit to Saudi Arabia was also intended to convey Netanyahu’s message to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman regarding Yemen and to lay the groundwork for a large-scale offensive against the country.
Earlier, Israel’s Channel 14 reported, citing an Emirati official, that representatives from several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, attended a meeting in Abu Dhabi between Netanyahu and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed. This meeting was held at Netanyahu’s request and was divided into two parts: one between Israeli and Emirati representatives, and another with the participation of Arab country representatives, including Saudi Arabia.
The discussions during this summit covered three key areas: the continuation of security cooperation, particularly concerning air defense systems like the Iron Dome; the ongoing confrontation with Iran and Ansarullah; and the formation of a joint coalition, potentially aimed against Iran.
