Ultra-Orthodox Jews Protest Mandatory Military Service in Jerusalem, Labeling IDF ‘Enemy’

Yair Golan, head of the Democrats party, reacted to the protests, stating, ‘These people call our army the enemy, yet Netanyahu has made a pact with them and allocates billions of shekels to them.’
The dispute over recruiting from the Haredi community has reached a boiling point amid a severe shortage of military personnel faced by the Zionist regime due to ongoing tensions on various fronts.
Haredi Jews, who constitute approximately 13 percent of the population in the occupied territories, have been exempt from military service for decades. However, the Zionist regime’s Supreme Court ruled in June 2024 that Haredi individuals are also obligated to perform military service and that their funding should be cut.
