Iraqi Resistance Movement Warns Against US Presence, Demands Embassy Scale-Down

Iraq’s Najaba Movement has issued a stern warning against any form of American presence in the country, whether under the guise of security firms or advisors, and has called for a reduction in the activities of the US Embassy in Baghdad.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement of Iraq’s Najaba has warned against any US presence in the country, whether through security companies or advisors, and has called for a reduction in the activities of the US Embassy in Baghdad. The Najaba Movement emphasized that any American interference in Iraq’s political affairs must be prevented. The movement also called for the removal of American forces from Iraq’s borders with Syria, Jordan, and Kuwait. The Najaba Movement had previously stressed its opposition to the continuation of any US presence in Iraq, declaring that the withdrawal of American and coalition forces from Iraq must signify the end of their presence under any title. Earlier on Wednesday, Kata’ib Hezbollah of Iraq announced that US spy and fighter planes continue to fly over Iraqi skies, with the intelligence wing of Kata’ib Hezbollah documenting this presence. A statement from Kata’ib Hezbollah of Iraq indicated that it possesses evidence of the continued presence of American forces in Iraq until October 30, the details of which will be announced later. In contrast, Haider Al-Aboudi, spokesperson for the Iraqi government, told Al Jazeera that the mission of the international coalition has concluded and that channels for joint coordination will remain open.
