New York Mayor Calls for US ICC Membership, Netanyahu Arrest

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, New York City Mayor Zahran Mamdani announced that if he possessed the power, he would admit the United States to the International Criminal Court and order the arrest of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime. Mamdani added that the U.S. government should join the court and respect all rulings issued by it, noting that 124 countries are members, but the United States and Israel do not recognize the court.
Previously, in response to a speech by Prime Minister Netanyahu at the United Nations General Assembly, Mamdani stated that Netanyahu used the UN platform to repeat “lies” aimed at whitewashing Israel’s actions against Palestinians. He emphasized that no falsehood can alter the fact that Netanyahu remains under pursuit based on an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.
During his address to the UN General Assembly, which was reportedly delivered to sparse attendance, Netanyahu accused Mamdani of “distorting reality” regarding Israel and its military personnel, stating, “Shame on you for distorting facts.” He further accused Mamdani of endangering the security of New York’s Jewish population by supporting Hamas and its stances against Israel.
