Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Claims Launch of Military Operations Against Ansarallah

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rashad al-Alimi, the nominal head of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, which is backed by Saudi Arabia, has claimed the launch of broad military operations against the Ansarallah movement, with the stated objective of “recapturing control of all of Yemen.” Al-Alimi declared, “I announce the launch of military operations to reclaim the remaining territories of Yemen. We understand the path to victory and the magnitude of the responsibility that rests upon us. We will protect the waterways on behalf of the entire world.” He further asserted that state institutions would be on full alert to achieve victory. “Today, we announce the commencement of military operations to reclaim the remaining territories of the Republic of Yemen and to extend the authority of the government and its institutions. We call upon our friends and the international community to stand with Yemen. We guarantee a safe return and a general amnesty for anyone who lays down their arms. Every city we recapture will enter a phase of revival and reconstruction. We call upon our people in the areas under Houthi control to cooperate with the Yemeni armed forces. Our military operations are not a war against Sanaa or Saada.”
