Yemen Authorizes Humanitarian Flights to and From Riyadh Airport

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yemen‘s armed forces spokesperson, Yahya Saree, has stated that humanitarian flights to and from Riyadh Airport are authorized, contingent upon receiving permits from the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center in Sana’a. This announcement follows previous warnings issued by the Yemeni government’s Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center to airlines. The center had previously alerted aviation companies that Saudi Arabia’s airspace, excluding that of Mecca and Medina, would become a zone of operations for Yemeni forces. The center urged airlines to heed these warnings regarding Saudi airspace and not disregard them. Omar Al-Bikheti, a spokesperson for the Yemeni government, had also declared that Saudi Arabian airspace and airports had become integrated into the operational theater for Yemen’s armed forces.
