Ansarullah Official: Bab al-Mandab Strait Open Only to Saudi Vessels

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, on March 16, 2026, Hizam Al-Asad, a high-ranking Ansarullah official, announced in a media interview that Saudi Arabia, mired in the Yemen war and reliant on multinational mercenaries, lacks the capacity to confront the Yemeni nation. He emphasized that contrary to Riyadh’s claims, Sana’a has no intention of attacking Saudi Arabia’s holy cities. However, Yemen’s missile power is capable of striking deep within the country.
Al-Asad, referencing Saudi Arabia’s critical economic situation, added that the kingdom is soliciting foreign aid and has failed to achieve victory in the Yemen war. He concluded by welcoming any mediation to end the conflict and cautioned other nations against entering the fray in Yemen.
