Russia Demands Release of Seized Oil Tanker Crew in India

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia is actively seeking the immediate release of its citizens detained on board the oil tanker “Unity” in India. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that its embassy and consulates in India are closely monitoring the situation concerning the repatriation of the Russian sailors. Moscow’s diplomatic missions in New Delhi and Kolkata are collaborating with relevant Indian governmental bodies, both at the federal and local levels, to expedite the resolution of the crew’s predicament.

A representative from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously stated that the Russian Embassy had dispatched six official notes to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs regarding the matter. Furthermore, the Russian Ambassador to India has engaged directly with Indian officials to discuss and address the issue.
