Zelensky Claims No Attacks on Russian Oil Refineries Following Ceasefire

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Kyiv has not targeted Russian oil refineries since President Donald Trump announced an energy ceasefire between Moscow and Kyiv. Zelensky also indicated Ukraine’s readiness for reciprocal measures to de-escalate tensions, contingent on effective pressure on Russia.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that his country has not launched any attacks on Russian oil refineries in the past two days, following an energy ceasefire announced by his American counterpart, President Donald Trump. Zelensky further asserted that Ukraine is prepared to take reciprocal actions to reduce tensions, provided that effective pressure is exerted on Russia.

These remarks by the Ukrainian President come amidst statements from the Kremlin, which indicated that new European sanctions against Russian energy sources could impede progress in reaching an agreement between Moscow and Washington. The Kremlin emphasized that discussions regarding an energy ceasefire in Ukraine are ongoing, though no significant changes have materialized thus far.
