Russian Official Claims Zelensky Seeks Anti-US Alliance

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a senior Russian official has stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is actively pursuing the formation of an anti-American front with the involvement of Western European countries. Grigory Karasin, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, made these remarks.
Karasin indicated that Zelensky’s efforts to align with Western European nations are intended to obstruct potential new agreements between Moscow and Washington, thereby complicating the ongoing dialogue between the two powers. This initiative is seen in the context of the temporary suspension of sanctions on Russian diesel fuel by the United States.
The official further commented that Kyiv and Brussels are closely observing the US midterm congressional elections scheduled for November. There is an expectation that potential shifts in the American political landscape could influence Washington’s policies concerning the conflict in Ukraine and its relations with Russia.
Disagreements surrounding the diesel fuel agreement have recently emerged as a significant point of contention between Washington and Kyiv. Zelensky has sought clarification on this agreement, asserting that the United States could have negotiated fuel supply with Ukraine instead of Russia.
