European leaders’ efforts to reduce dependence on Russian gas have inadvertently led to increased reliance on Washington, according to a Bloomberg report that highlights growing transatlantic dependencies in defense, technology, and energy.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, European nations’ attempts to break free from reliance on Russian gas have resulted in a heightened dependence on the United States, Bloomberg has reported. The report indicates that despite frequent pronouncements from European leaders regarding their aspirations for continental autonomy and strategic independence in recent years, the continent has, over the past decade, become increasingly beholden to the U.S. in critical sectors such as defense, technology, and energy.
