Netanyahu Rejects Obama’s Criticisms, Defends Israeli Stance

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly refuted former U.S. President Barack Obama’s recent remarks concerning the Israeli occupation, dismissing them as regrettable and asserting historical claims to the land.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday described the comments made by former U.S. President Barack Obama against the Zionist regime as regrettable. Netanyahu claimed that Israelis are not occupiers, their history is not colonial, and the land they inhabit was not stolen.

Continuing his assertions, Netanyahu stated, “This land is ours, and its name is Judea.” Earlier, during a speech in Northern Ireland, Obama had implicitly accused the Israeli regime of stealing land from Palestinians, remarking that “they have overstepped.”

Obama, addressing the presence of millions of Jews and Palestinians in the region who will not leave, urged Israelis to reconsider the future of their children and grandchildren. He questioned whether they would continue to live behind walls and eliminate their neighbors, or seek a just path for self-defense while adhering to moral and human principles.
