The United States Central Command, known as CENTCOM, released an official statement responding to recent comments made by Iran’s foreign minister concerning the avoidance of attacks on civilians in neighboring nations, explicitly dismissing the remarks as inaccurate.
In its statement, the U.S. military command alleged that over past months, Tehran has deliberately targeted civilian mariners at sea, claiming that more than 20 fatalities have resulted from these incidents.
Furthermore, CENTCOM accused the Iranian government of extending attacks beyond mariners to encompass civilian infrastructure, residential areas, and various facilities located across the Persian Gulf region.
Concluding the statement, the U.S. Central Command reiterated its assessment of regional developments, characterizing its stated positions on the security situation as evident and well-documented.
