Donald Trump Faces Persistent Low Approval Ratings Ahead of US Congressional Elections

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, …
The latest statistical evaluation conducted jointly by Reuters and Ipsos reveals that the popularity of United States President Donald Trump continues to hover near its previously recorded minimum levels. The five-day nationwide survey highlights a fiercely competitive political landscape between the Democratic and Republican parties as the nation approaches the upcoming congressional elections.
According to the survey results, 46 percent of registered voters stated they intend to cast their ballots for Democratic congressional candidates, whereas 38 percent expressed support for Republicans. This eight-point advantage for the Democrats reflects a narrowing of the 11-point gap recorded in the previous week’s Reuters/Ipsos poll.
Meanwhile, data indicates that approximately 32 percent of poll participants approve of Donald Trump’s performance in the White House, marking relative stability compared to the previous week and remaining slightly above his lowest recorded approval rating of 31 percent from two weeks prior.
Among registered independent voters, roughly 50 percent reported that their vote in the congressional elections would function primarily as a vote against Trump. Conversely, 13 percent of respondents stated their ballots would serve as a show of support for the current president, while 33 percent emphasized that his presence would have no bearing on their electoral decisions.
Conducted online, the statistical research gathered opinions from 1,765 adult citizens residing across the United States, with an estimated margin of error of two percentage points.
