Moscow Warns France and Britain Over Anti-Russian Military Footprint in Ukraine

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Paris and London are attempting to maintain an anti-Russian stronghold in Ukraine through multinational forces, warning that foreign military personnel in the country are considered legitimate targets.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova emphasized on Saturday that European nations hold no place in negotiations regarding Ukraine, and the presence of foreign military personnel in the country remains entirely unacceptable.

The Russian diplomat reiterated that all military units stationed on Ukrainian territory are regarded as legitimate targets by the Russian Armed Forces. She assessed that the presence of foreign troops effectively constitutes military intervention and generates heightened security risks for Moscow, noting that the West continues to dismiss legitimate Russian security concerns and escalate tensions.

Expanding on her remarks, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson pointed out that France and Britain are seeking to preserve a baseline for confronting Moscow by deploying multinational forces to Ukraine. She stressed that plans designed to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia will ultimately fail to achieve their objectives.
