America decided a name for its aggressive attacks in Yemen
The Pentagon has defined a name for its air and missile attacks in Yemen and called it "Operation Archer of Poseidon". |
According to the report of the international group Tasnim news agency, network website “CNN” news, quoting knowledgeable sources, reported that the Pentagon has determined a name for its air and missile attacks in Yemen and called it “Operation Archer Poseidon”.
CNN says this designation reflects the Pentagon’s more organized and possibly long-term approach to military operations in Yemen.
“Poseidon Archer” is separate from the “Comfort Constable” operation, which is a naval coalition with the participation of several countries to prevent Yemeni operations in the Red Sea.
p style=”text-align:justify”>Another goal of America for naming military operations is to reduce the negative burden of military adventures in domestic and foreign public opinion.
The tradition of using Greek mythological figures for military operations was first started by Winston Churchill, the former Prime Minister of England during World War II.
