The anti-ballistic missile systems “Arman” and the “Azerakhsh” post-altitude air defense system, which were unveiled this morning on 28th of February, were widely reflected in the foreign media.
Many Western and Arab media, while covering the news of the unveiling of this system, focused on the increasing capability of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of military equipment.
Meanwhile, some western media, while acknowledging Iran’s military power, related this unveiling to the current situation in the West Asia.
The unveiling ceremony of two vehicle-mounted systems was held in the presence of Brigadier General Mohammadreza Ashtiani, Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is said that with the introduction of new systems into Iran’s defense network, the air defense power of this country will increase significantly.
The Arman missile system can simultaneously deal with six targets at a distance of 120 to 180 kilometers, while the Azarakhsh missile system can identify and destroy targets up to a range of 50 kilometers.
While covering the news of the unveiling of these systems, Nahar newspaper wrote that the Arman missile system destroys 6 targets at once.
Arabi Arti network also covered the news of the unveiling of two Iranian missile systems in a video report.
Al-Nashre Lebanon wrote: Iran unveiled the “Arman” anti-ballistic missile system and the “Azarkhash” low-altitude air defense system in the presence of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, Iran’s Defense Minister, in Tehran.
The Economist Times news base, citing Iranian sources, covered the news of the unveiling of these two missile systems.
The Times of Israel, while reflecting the news of the unveiling of this dual system, wrote: Iran unveiled two missile and defense systems in the midst of tensions in the West Asia.
