developments in Gaza; The focus of the talks between Haniyeh and the Emir of Qatar in Doha
Today, media sources announced the meeting and consultation between the head of the political office of Hamas and the Emir of Qatar regarding the developments of the war in the Gaza Strip. |
The official news agency of Qatar (Qena) reported about this: “Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani”, the emir of Qatar, met and consulted with “Ismail Haniyeh”, the head of the political office of the Hamas movement in Doha.
According to this report, the Emir of Qatar and Haniyeh discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, the efforts to achieve an immediate result and establish a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian resistance groups started the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the positions of the Israeli regime on October 15, 2023, which finally ended on December 3, 1402 (November 24, 2023) after 45 days of fighting. A four-day temporary truce was established between Hamas and Israel for the exchange of prisoners.
This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on the morning of Friday 10 Azar (December 1, 2023), the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.
In order to compensate for its defeat and to stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area.
