According to the report of Turkish Anatolia news agency, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced on Tuesday: In response to the expansion of the borders of the NATO alliance, Russia has created 2 new military zones .
He stated: “Regarding the increase in NATO’s military potential near Russia’s borders, we have taken measures to strengthen forces in the northwest and west.” He said: “Two strategic sectors, the Leningrad and Moscow military regions, have been created.”
After Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine, Sweden and Finland applied to join NATO. Finland joined NATO in April 2023. Sweden also completed its membership process last month and is going to join this coalition.
NATO has held a large exercise with the participation of 20,000 soldiers since Monday, claiming to support the developed territory in the north of NATO.

Swedish armed forces also announced that 4,500 personnel from the country’s air, ground and naval forces will participate in this exercise. Finland, which shares an 830-mile border with Russia, joined NATO in April 2023 after decades of non-commitment.
