Russia: We will not participate in the upcoming Ukrainian conference in Switzerland
The Russian Foreign Ministry rejected the country's participation in the Ukraine conference in Switzerland. |
America’s attempt to expand NATO to Russia’s borders eventually led to the start of the Ukraine war on February 24, 2022. Washington’s bad promises to Moscow have made Russian officials no longer trust the promises of the United States.
According to TeleTrader, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced today (Wednesday) that Moscow will not participate in the upcoming meeting regarding Ukraine.
Accordingly, Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying: Even if Moscow receives an invitation to participate in the upcoming Ukrainian conference in Switzerland, it will not participate in this gathering. This conference is similar to the one that was held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark in July 2023 and was a total failure.
This statement adds with a strong warning: Due to the provocative actions of one or two members of the European Union and NATO, the war between Russia and Ukraine can now spread beyond the borders of this country. The war in Ukraine could easily expand beyond the current geographical borders and see a different scale of conflict that could spiral out of control.
Zakharova emphasizes: Beyond these issues, Western countries must end their support for Kiev. The West should learn to consider the legitimate interests of other countries in addition to considering its own geographical ambitions.
At the request of the government of Ukraine, the next conference related to this country will be held in Switzerland this year. Collecting financial aid and weapons to Kiev, as well as consultation about ending this conflict, will be one of the most important possible axes of this conference.
