America condemned North Korea’s missile launch
The US State Department claimed that North Korea's missile test endangers the security of the region. |
The spokesperson of the US State Department condemned North Korea’s ballistic missile launch at the same time as Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken visited South Korea.
According to AFP, he claimed that these launches, like previous launches of ballistic missiles in recent years, violate several resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, declaring that these operations threaten North Korea’s neighbors and undermine regional security.
This spokesperson declared: We are still committed to the diplomatic approach and we want North Korea to enter into dialogue. Our commitment to defend Japan and South Korea remains.
This Monday morning, the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the South Korean Army announced that North Korea fired an unidentified ballistic missile towards the East Sea.
On the other hand, the provocative actions of the US and its allies on the Korean Peninsula, including the increase in military exercises and the deployment of US nuclear submarines in South Korea, have worried Pyongyang.
North Korea has also conducted numerous missile tests against these movements. However, Pyongyang officials are strongly warning against Washington and its allies crossing red lines based on their nuclear defense doctrine.
