Arrest of 48 people suspected of connection with ISIS in Türkiye

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya wrote on X social network (former Twitter) today: Turkish authorities have arrested 48 people linked to ISIS in connection with the shooting of a church in Istanbul in January.
According to the Guardian newspaper, during the attack of two masked men on the Italian Church of Santa Maria in Istanbul on January 28, 2024, a Turkish citizen was killed.
According to the Turkish Interior Minister, both suspects are foreigners who were arrested. One of the attackers is a citizen of Tajikistan and the other is from Russia, and both are members of ISIS.
