He answered the question of a reporter of Maariv newspaper regarding “Is the war in Gaza over?”; He said: “Unfortunately, yes, unfortunately there is a tactical victory, but there is also a strategic defeat, we have not achieved any of the goals set by the government.” It started and it was carried out with intensity only towards the north of the Gaza Strip”, he continued: “We moved one and a half million displaced people to the south and now we will not go to Rafah, because there are one and a half million displaced people, this is America’s problem No, our problem is in the way we deal with them.” Haim Ramon claimed that “the collapse of Hamas militarily” admitted: “They are still standing on their feet, we aimed to destroy Hamas, without governance in Gaza, it will collapse Hamas is impossible.” This former minister of the Zionist regime also said that the goal of the occupying army was to make Hamas release Israeli prisoners by increasing military pressure, “but this did not happen.”
