Uzbekistan: Taliban will not attend the ECO meeting

according to the report of the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, “Shirzad Asadov, the head of the press office of the President of Uzbekistan, Shaukat Mirzayev, said that the representative of the Taliban will not be present at the upcoming meeting of the ECO Organization, which will be held in Tashkent.
The presence of Afghanistan’s representative in the ECO meeting requires the agreement of all member countries of this organization to recognize the government of Kabul.
Asadov emphasized that Afghanistan is one of the member countries of ECO, but due to Political changes in August 2021. Now he cannot participate in ECO meetings and activities.
