report Mehr News Agency quoted Rashatoudi, thousands of people in Cordoba province in the center of Argentina came to the streets in protest against the visit of the country’s right-wing president “Javier Milli” to this province and chanted against him.
According to reports, protesters blocked a road near the airport to express their opposition to Xavier Mili’s visit to this province.
Images released show protesters blocking streets, lighting fires, and holding flags and placards reading “Motherland, not for sale,” “traitor, “You are selling your country”, “Mili is trash” they protested against the Argentine president.
With these street demonstrations, the protesters expressed their concerns about the increase in inflation and the increase in the cost of living in Argentina.
At the beginning of May, tens of thousands of students demonstrated in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, against the reduction of university budgets. In addition to Buenos Aires, students, graduates and professors of 57 universities participated in anti-government demonstrations in other major cities of Argentina.
Argentine government has reduced university budgets with the aim of controlling government spending. Since Javier Milli came to power in the fall of last year, many construction and public infrastructure projects have been stopped.
Mili has also significantly reduced government subsidies. Due to the implementation of these policies, the value of the national currency of Argentina has decreased by 50% in 5 months. In the past months, this country has witnessed many demonstrations of different strata of people against Xavier Milli’s policies.
