Belgium, as the rotating presidency of the European Union, announced in a statement: The ambassadors of the European Union agreed on a new package of sanctions against Belarus. This package will help Europe’s measures in response to Russia’s attack on Ukraine, including countering sanctions evasion.
Brussels sanctions against Minsk are aimed at preventing the flow of banned goods to Russia, including microchips that could be used on the battlefield in Ukraine.
