In 2023, Iran’s crude oil and condensate production has grown by 19% compared to the previous year and has reached 3.94 million barrels per day. In the previous year, Iran had produced 3 million and 331 thousand barrels of oil per day.

The 19% growth of Iran’s crude oil and condensate production in 2023, which has been achieved despite the continuation of illegal US sanctions, is more than 13 times the average growth of world oil production this year. The total production of crude oil and condensates in the world in 2023 has reached 82,636,000 barrels per day with a growth of 1.4 compared to the previous year.

Accordingly, Iran has recorded the growth of oil production among major oil producers during the last year. In fact, most of the oil producers not only did not increase production this year, but also faced a decrease in production. For example, the production of crude oil and condensate in Saudi Arabia has decreased by 8.6% in 2023. Iraq’s oil production this year decreased by 3.9%, Kuwait by 4.3%, Oman by 1.5%, UAE by 3.4%, Algeria by 3.4%, and Russia by 1.1%.

Among the important countries that have increased production are Canada with a growth of 1.4%, America with a growth of 8.5%, Argentina with a growth of 13.8% and China with a growth of 2 1 percent pointed out.

The country of Guyana has increased its oil production by 40.8% in 2023 and has been ranked first in the world in this regard, although the country’s oil production was only 391,000 barrels per day.

Iran is the seventh largest oil producer in the world

According to this report, Iran was the seventh largest producer of crude oil and condensates in the world during the last year and 4.8% of the total crude oil and condensates produced in the world was related to Iran. America is the largest producer in the world with a share of 15.6%, and Russia with 12.8%, Saudi Arabia with 11.6%, Canada with 6%, Iraq with 5.2%, and China with 5.1% respectively in the ranks.
