Sultan of Oman Arrives in Russia + Video
Omani Sultan’s Plane Lands at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport; Welcomed by Russian Economic Development Minister
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman, arrived in Russia for a two-day visit.
The media outlet reported that upon his arrival, the Omani Sultan was welcomed by Maxim Reshetnikov, Russia’s Minister of Economic Development.
RIA Novosti further stated: The aircraft carrying haitham bin Tariq Al Said, the Sultan of Oman, landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport.
Prior to this, the Royal Court of Oman stated in a declaration that Sultan haitham bin Tariq, the King of Oman, will commence his official visit to Moscow on monday, April twenty-first (corresponding to Ordibehesht first in the Persian calendar), in response to an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin. This visit will continue until April twenty-second (ordibehesht second).
According to the statement, the purpose of this trip is to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields and develop relations between the two countries.
